Axel Arno, born in 1953 on the bunds of Congo, is carrying out since 1988 his own pictures. Before, he used to stick and put together different kinds of matrials and practise wood painting. Several expositions witnessed his path from 1972 to 1988.

In 1997, he presents a set of 6 large panels at the Cloitre des Jacobins, dealing with the topic of “Meditations” ; this group of images built around pieces of classical paint suggests another panorama to show nature.

From 1988 to 2002, Axel Arno undertakes throughout three travels in Orient and two in South America, several series of photographic prints from walls to witness the mark of souls beyond the workshops codes : there will be “Longitudes”, “Latitudes” and “Traces”.

Since 2000 Axel Arno fills the urban space with his “signals” to enable a more individual reading of the nearby economic supports or posts them on the city walls in a purpose dialog dynamics.
The video path of the Golberg Variations in 2000 and 2003 which purpose is, especially for the concert, to present silent images to invite the audience to re-listen to the world.
In 2003 he realises for the Festival de Samos “le Projet Pythagore” an image set up of pythagorean themes in 12 large sizes.

In 2004 and 2005 the Dyptic and Triptyc series open new outlooks through the colour clash effect. They are showns in Bordeaux in 2005 and in Nice in 2006.

Axel Arno also carries out three photographic series dedicated to this topic : “Can sky wait ?”. Two expositions were thus dedicated in Aigues-Mortes in 2007 and in Puigcerda in 2008.

In Beijing he presents on June 2008 some large-sized where the “light” is fondamental project. On October 2008, in the gallery MR d'Angouleme, a new serie of “Can sky wait ?” will be on exposition.
